Are GWB's Critics Right?

Let's look into the crystal ball and see what might be.

Are Bush's critics right?
By Tony Blankley
August 23, 2006
We are all aware of the dangerous Middle East conditions the United States faces today after five and a half years of President Bush's leadership. So let's consider what the world might well look like if, in his remaining two and a half years, he were to follow the recommendations of his critics...

How ironic you use the phrase moonbats, then run an editorial from The Washington Times. Doesn't get much more mooney or batty then that.

If these things happen (which I doubt) it will not because of the Democratic party or its positions on the mentioned issues.

Mr. Blankley (who's dishonesty about the Democrats even surpasses Ann Coulter) promotes hate through the intentional mis-representation of Democratic positions, outright lies about Democrats, and describing Democrats as traitors just because they disagree with the President.

Again Mr. Blankley in this piece is having a little fun with Democrats; which would be fine if his predictions were not such total lies about the real Democratic positions.

Who's fault is it that in 4 YEARS we have been unable to train an able Iraqi force? Seems like 4 years is more than enough time to complete such a task.

And what a fantasy that other nations will act as he describes. Even IF they did, that it would be the fault of American Democrats.

Since when do the Democrats see Hezbollah as anything but a group of murderous terrorists? Which Democrats are saying that Hezbollah is an acceptable leader of any country? Names please.

Which Democrats are saying that it is a good thing that Hamas won elections in Palestine? Names please.

Which President was the first to publicly call for the State of Palestien?

Mr. Bush would be forced to cut off military aid to Isreal? Mr. Bush would have to FORCE peace between Israel and Palestine? Just what position do the Democrats take that would force the President to have to do these things?

The Democrats will force Israel to return to the situation of pre 1967 Middle East - WHAT?

Democrats have always protected and promoted the the U.S. military option in any situation, including the current hostilities.

The reason a humor piece, parody, fantasy, or critical piece works, is because in some way it is based on some truth of reality and why that reality is so faulty.

Because Mr. Blankley's article is so void of any truth, his article is an abject failure. In fact, because his article is so full of mis-representations and lies it is just another piece of hate, that goes beyond party loyalty.

You are "Solid Logic", yet posting shows nothing of the kind.

Actually 4 years isn't really enough time to train an entire military, especially when they gave the cold shoulder to Baathist members. In the US military, 4 years is about the time it takes to be trained from a cherry to a junior NCO. Our NCO corp, the backbone of our military, generally has 12-15 years experience I would say on average, which makes it all the more bewildering to me that Bush thought we could go in and just turn the country over to a brand new military.
