A multimillion-dollar television advertising blitz hasn't bought Gov. Rod Blagojevich a single percentage point of increased popularity in recent months, according to a new poll that shows his support among Illinoisans still stuck below 50 percent going into his fall re-election race.
"Governor Blagojevich has been criticized by the Illinois State Rifle Association,
saying that "Rod should spend more time catching criminals and less time controlling guns." His support for tightening the already strict gun laws of Illinois has earned him the ire of gun rights groups." (wikipedia)
