Solar Activity, Methane and Mahmoud

Mankind cannot be blamed for global warming, or cooling. The sun and the earth itself are the major causes of changes in climate. What we do is insignificant in the grand scheme of historical climatology.

Some recent examples of such natural phenomenon include:

MOUNT ST. HELENS -- "A magnitude 3.6 earthquake shook Mount St. Helens July 18, 2006, one of the largest earthquakes recorded during the ongoing eruption, the U.S. Geological Survey said."
The May 18, 1980, eruption, killed 57 people and blasted about 1,300 feet off the 9,677-foot peak.

Speaking of volcanos, terrorist leader Mahmoud "Monkey" Ahmadinejad made some comparisons with current events.
Some excerpts from an address given by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which aired on the Iranian News Channel on July 18, 2006.
They should know that the volcano of rage of the peoples of the region is boiling.
[…]
I'm telling you… If this volcano erupts - and we are on the brink of eruption... and if this ocean rages, its waves will not be limited to the region.

Larry Elder says that Civilization is at stake. He is right.

Solar Activity is thought to cause climate changes so vast that man barely registers a blip.
"In light of these real-world-based observations, plus the multitude of studies that indicate most climate changes of the past were clearly associated with changes in solar activity (see Solar Effects in our Subject Index), the case for anthropogenic CO2 emissions playing anything more than a minor role in contemporary global warming would appear to be fading fast."

Gas escaping from ocean floor may drive global warming
Researchers from the University of California Santa Barbara observe methane blast from ocean floor...

I was all set to believe AlGore's story of how civilization is the cause of all bad karma, but I think a lot more research is in order first.

Did Al Gore mention "Ocean farts" in his movie? Was it an inconvenient fact?

If you do not believe in global warming; does that mean you have to be a global pig?

What's wrong with trying to live and leave the earth as clean as possible?

I am NOT convinced that our pollution is warming the earth.

I AM convinced that our pollution is harming us (humans). Such as bad air and water can be toxic to our biological systems.
