Fear of Hillary?
Lefties give Hillary credit for causing an ammunition shortage.

"The cost of 7.62X39 ammo has risen quite a bit lately. Everyone (i.e., I) was confused as there’s not really been a shortage publicized. And, let’s face it, one in seven guns on the earth is an AK so I figured it wouldn’t be a supply problem.
Turns out, it’s Hillary’s fault"

Uncle!
Not you by any means. The Daily Telegraph article showing the backsides of the Libs is a classic! They really do eat up the conspiracy theories, so I shouldn't mention the recent Venezuala drain on the same ammo...
I don't even know quite what to say about this. Since there has been no talks by anyone, or at least serious talks by anyone, that I've heard of of withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, I don't know what to make of this steaming pile. I sure hope this is a crappy joke, otherwise you're rocking the tinfoil hat my friend.
Just a demonstration of the lib bias of some of the UK sites like the Daily Telegraph. They assume the administration fears Hillary. This to me is hilarious.
We are arming the Afghans, but not as a Hillary defense.
Hey, Matt, I just noticed an article that says the UN has determined that poppy cultivation is down over 80 percent in Afghanistan this last year. Are you disputing your Mighty U.N.?
Kofi(Oil for Food) Annan blames the US for rising prices of poppies.
Radio Free Afghanistan reports:
"Falling prices on the black market for raw opium last year due to a large harvest has helped the international community to discourage Afghan farmers from planting this year.
But United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan says that U.S.- led efforts to eradicate opium cultivation in Afghanistan have caused raw opium prices to nearly double -- from about $100 per kilogram last October to a current black market price of about $180 per kilogram. That price level has encouraged some Afghan farmers to continuing planting opium poppies.
Is it the campaign against poppy cultivation that constitutes the threat? Chistopher Hitchens/Slate
WASHINGTON, June 28, 2006 – Life has improved for Afghanistan's people since the days of Taliban rule, a senior U.S. military commander told U.S. legislators here today.
Progress made in Afghanistan "is truly significant," Army Lt. Gen. Karl Eikenberry told House Armed Services Committee members at a Capitol Hill hearing.
Afghanistan today boasts a democratically elected president and parliament, a confirmed cabinet, a functioning constitution, a growing security force and ongoing reconstruction projects, Eikenberry said. ...
The date that Hitchens wrote his piece was not as important as the concepts he suggested. The Radio Free Afghanistan article is current. The above story is from yesterday.
Yes, I read it, and I see Afghanistan as a half full glass. You must see it as empty. I didn't deny that there are lingering problems, but your description listed ONLY those problems. The drive-by media utilizes the same technique with many issues.
