Libertarianism is at the core of conservative politics.
“People have often said about the Clintons, they don’t care who they hang out with as long as the people can be helpful to them,” said one of Mrs. Clinton’s major fund-raisers. “The larger point in all of this is that the Clintons are the ultimate pragmatists in who they hang out with; if you can be useful to them, they will find a way to make it work.”

Recent polls have been taken that proclaim that the Vice-President has only a 28 percent approval rating. Yet there are no headlines to be found about the fact that the Democrat controlled Congress enjoys even less approval by the citizens of this country. 83 percent said Congress was doing a fair or poor job, and just 14 percent rated it excellent or good. At Reuters, for instance, it is spoken about, but only deep within the story of how bad the VP's numbers are. This is but one more example of what Rush calls "Drive-by Media" bias.
The Administrator for NASA, Michael Griffin, recently was interviewed by NPR. The following quote makes more sense than all of the hot air spewed by the self ordained high priest of the new religion of Global Warming, AlGore, about and around this subject in the last 2 years. Go to the NPR website to listen to the whole interview.
This throws most of the conservative vote further away from McCain. He is being more clearly seen by conservatives as a half-hearted supporter of conservatism. His main goal sometimes seems to be poking the conservatives in the eye with his rollover cooperation with Dems like Kennedy and Feingold.
Let's hope and assume that this newest version of amnesty nonsense goes nowhere fast, and let's start enforcing the current laws on immigration, including the completion of the border fence and securing our borders first.
The Duncan Hunter website has lots of info about the fence.

Block amnesty plan; it's a slap in the face

How could anyone who describes themselves as Americans, whether conservative or just short of the most moonbat liberal, ever voice support for this? I don't know, but I'm willing to listen to the mysterious logic of this potential sellout of the American Citizen.

In a recent interview with James Dobson, of Focus on the Family, Newt spoke about his infidelity during his first marriage. In my opinion, this is a fairly clear sign that Newt IS going to run for the presidency. By getting in front of this now and taking ownership of the issue early, he disarms this as a potential issue for his opponents when he does officially enter. If they do bring it up later, he has already done the damage control and will reverse the tactic, and subject the other candidate to the silliness of discussing old gossip instead of solutions to problems that we can solve.Labels: Conservative, media, Newt Gingrich, Republican Party

There has been a series of commercials running on these stations and also in several other radio markets in the US. You have likely heard them if you listen to radio more than 10 minutes a week. The (you are here)helpwanted dot com commericals. The particular ones I am referring to are customized to the Central Illinois sales area. These spots have been in an unusually high rotation rate for far too long, in the opinion of this long time listener.

Jihadists send congratulations to the Democrats, promise to blow up White House.
Muhajer slammed US President George Bush, gloated over his Republican Party's defeat in midterm elections widely attributed to US involvement in Iraq, and said US forces occupying the country were preparing to cut and run.
